7 things to do in Torremolinos
Poor fishing village turned international beach paradise, Torremolinos, Spain was one of the first tourism cities of southern Spain. Surprisingly, it has maintained much of its local charm and natural beauty, making it the perfect vacation spot.
1. La Parque Batería
Be sure not to miss this centrally located gem. Fountains, old cannons, maintained footpaths, even a boating lake, make La Parque Bateria a peaceful stop in the afternoon.
2. Tivoli World
Take a 15-minute train ride down to Benalmadena for Tivoli World, a magical family-friendly theme park with endless rides and entertainment.
3. Sea Life Benalmádena
While you’re down in Benalmadena, stop by the aquarium. There’s a beautiful walk-through glass tunnel and live feeding shows with the dolphins and small sharks.
4. Church of San Miguel
Climb to the top of the famous Torremolinos escalera (stairs) for this ornate Spanish church. Be sure to check out the various restaurants and cafes in the surrounding square.
5. Casa de los Navajas
This beautifully preserved historic house is one of the city’s best-kept secrets. It’s well worth the 2€ entrance to wander through this Torremolinos beach home and garden.
6. Playa La Carihuela
Playa La Carihuela is one of the best beaches of Costa del Sol with plenty of locals offering delicious treats and drinks.
7. Crocodile Park
You’ll probably never get another chance to see so many crocodiles in such an informative and fun environment. It’ll be worth it to check the feeding times before booking.

Try the Pescaito Frito
This fried baby fish is a local favorite. It’s all about seafood here—from fresh sardines cooked over charcoal to the traditional dish of sea bass baked in a block of salt.

What people are saying about Torremolinos
The trip started on time for me. However, for the other participants, we had to wait for some time. That is understandable though. The guide (Mr. Alex) was cool and shared good enough information with us. The place as such, is just amazing. It is so different from the places I have visited so far. And the group of participants made it more interesting. It is not at all dangerous and is safe even for children, though extra care is to be taken while climbing the stairs. so much of fresh air, spectacular views and an amazing lunch in the end, made this trip very memorable. You are not allowed to smoke on the trip, which is good. No trash allowed. Bring water and something to eat, that's useful.
It's right in the heart of Fuengirola. If you are visiting Malaga or Torremolinos, you can use the train to reach there. It's at a walking distance from the Fuengirola train station. This biopark has a good variety of animals and they also conduct a short live exhibition of the animals, which is quite cool. Though I was sad to see the animals in the cage, I think the overall experience depends on person to person. The park, as a concept deserve full stars, but in the end, those animals don't deserve to be there. There place is in the jungle.
What an amazing time we had here! So many different animals and really up close! Was so impressed and the guide who took us through the lemurs was fab we were the only English people On the tour but she had no problem translating for us! 100% recommend any one who visits Fuengirola to check out this place
Great guide in Gibraltar who covered a lot of information concise manner and informative manner. Caves were amazing! Only negative comment is the number of stops and time it took to get from Malaga to Gibraltar but it this was noted in advance so no surprise. Bus was very comfortable.
It was great. The guide was very kind and smart with a lot of knowledges! The trip was exciting and the views were amazing! For sure its one of the atractions that is a must there!
