Authentic experience! A transport picked us up at our hotel, after about 1 hour of driving dotted with short breaks (to admire 2 viewpoints and have breakfast included) we arrive at the meeting point for the start of the hike. There were 2 of us going on an excursion and we had the pleasure of discovering that we had a very friendly personal guide, Abdou, who spoke rather good French. After about 1h30 of walking we arrive at an inn with a breathtaking view where lunch is served (a person with a mullet follows us all along the hike to prepare food, very good and in large quantities). Resumption of the hike for about 2 hours, crossing remote and authentic villages, an immersive experience! We arrive at the hostel to spend the night. Poorly equipped, we were cold because there was no heating and in the middle of January at altitude. If not this point, the hostel is very correct. Return D+1 with lunch included and taxi

I'd definitely recommend the 2-day hike to anyone looking to see the Atlas Mountains. Muhammed was a great guide, and was able to share lots of information and we were travelling through the mountains and passing through the Berber villages. Included was some delicious food, and we were able to hike at a good pace suitable for our ability. If travelling in February be prepared for it to get cold at night, though (luckily lots of blankets are on offer)!

Our guides, Mustafa and Mohammed were great. It had recently snowed and they had to make some adjustments to the hike and encourage us when the snow was deep. Mohammed went above and beyond to rescue a jacket that blew away. Both guides are obviously proud and knowledgeable of the area. It was a great experience with wonderful views. Highly recommended.

2 days of hiking perfectly organized, from villages through villages, with a great insight of how local mountain people live and Amazigh culture. Be ready for cold weather (jan-feb) but for the night you'll be provided with lots of blanket. On the way to Imlil village, where the hiking start, there will be 2 short stops. I found this part unnecessary.

The guides were fantastic. They knew exactly what they were doing on the trek but also created a nice atmosphere for everyone in the group. The trek itself is not terribly challenging but requires good shoes and in the winter a good jacket.
