Start your day with a pickup from Park Zrinjevac. Hop-in an AC vehicle for a drive towards the baroque town of Varazdin. Your guide will share interesting stories on the way. Discover the baroque gem Varazdin with a local licensed guide. Visit one of the most beautiful graveyards of Europe. Go on a walking tour from the Old Town fortress to the city hall, cathedral and parish Church of St. Nicholas. After the tour, your will be given free time for your own activities. Drive to Trakoscan Castle. The fairy tale castle dates back to the late 13th century but was reconstructed in the 19th century in the Romantic spirit by the noble Draskovic family. In the castle, you will see a valuable collection of paintings, furniture and weapons. Return to Zagreb in the late afternoon hours.

Scientifically known as Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis, the Krapina prehistoric man was discovered all the way back in 1899, when geological and paleontological research started on Hušnjakovo Hill in Krapina. On this tour, you will have the chance to visit your "long lost cousins", who were living in this area about 125,000 years ago. The new Krapina Neanderthal Museum is a unique visiting complex, with the museum's architecture evoking the habitat of the prehistoric man. You will be able to learn all about the findings of this initial dig, and what it meant and changed regarding the understanding of our ancestors and origins. Your next stop will take you to the Medieval period. If you think of a typical castle, that is exactly what Trakošćan looks like: a beautiful and breathtaking fairy tale castle. Inside, there is a museum with a permanent exhibition which will give you the perfect insight to the life of a royal in this period of time. You will also have the opportunity to discover the wonderful heritage and history of the northern part of Croatia, learning about the local stories and legends along the way. Finally, visit Varaždin, grab the toe of St. Grgur, and lose yourself in the city's fairytale streets.
