Based in Lyngen near Tromsø, visit Camp Troll and experience a day of exploration, excitement, and fun on a snowmobile safari. You can drive a snowmobile beneath giant mountains and learn how these spectacular summits inspired Norwegian Folklore. Depart from Tromsø city center by bus which will take you to Breivikeidet where you’ll board the ferry as a foot passenger (included). Meet a representative on the other side at Svensby for further transport. On arrival at base camp, meet your guide and listen as they detail practical instructions on how to handle a snowmobile. Watch a safety demonstration and then get changed before heading out. Drive your snowmobile in pairs (one driver and one passenger) and get the opportunity to switch drivers at the halfway point. Travel deep into nature whilst exploring the mythical world of trolls on a scenic trail through the Lyngen Alps. Enjoy time in the beautiful scenery and take pictures, keeping an eye out for the magical trolls you’ll be learning about. Later, head back to the base camp to enjoy a hot meal served around the fire before you depart. With a full stomach, return to the ferry after your tour, where you will return to Tromsø. Please note: Snowmobiles are shared (even if you make a booking as 1 guest). There are two options for this tour, one with and one without transfers, make sure you select the correct one when making your booking.

Depart from Tromsø and set off to explore the bays, straights, and fjords of the Arctic which are rich in wildlife and history. The experience starts in the dock in the city center in Tromsø, from there you will take on the arctic night on board MS Polar Adventure. The boat departs at 20:00 and will set course to the destination where the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are the greatest. On board are a variety of warm and cold drinks for you to enjoy and keep you warm, it is self-service and you can eat as many cookies and drink as many coffees as you want. There are also thermal suits available for you to put on for a cold winter night. Photos are not included in this activity, but the crew on board will help you to set up the correct settings on your camera and phone, so you can capture the green lady. You are allowed to bring with you food and beverages, but alcohol is not allowed to take on board. The boat will stay with the Northern Light as long as it can take into consideration the duration of the tour. The boat will return at the same dock right next to Scandic Ishavshotel at 23:30. We cannot guarantee the viewing of the Northern Lights, but if you do not see the Northern Light on your first night, you will be offered a new tour for free on the days we have available places(A new tour is only valid once). Since we do not guarantee to view the Northern Lights, a partial or full refund will not be available if you do not see the Northern Lights. On days when the weather is bad and the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are small, we will contact you and ask you to move your booking to another day, so please be available for contact within 24 hours before departure.

Enjoy a whale-watching adventure on a RIB speedboat. Search for humpback whales and orcas frolicking in their natural habitat as you sip on hot drinks admiring the views. Start by meeting in central Tromsø where you will join your fellow explorers on the bus route to the island of Skjervøy. Relax on the 4-hour journey on a comfortable, air-conditioned bus with WiFi and toilets onboard. Meet your guide in Skjervøy which is the town closest to the feeding grounds of the whales. Be escorted to the dressing room where you will put on your protective thermal gear. Then, board the speedboat and begin the search. Look out for humpback whales and orcas in their natural habitat. Learn about them and other local marine life with an experienced guide, and warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and tasty Norwegian sweet bread. After approximately 3 hours onboard the rib boat, you will return to harbor and warm up with tea and coffee in the dressing room. From here, your guide will escort you back to the bus, give you a packed lunch of a baguette and bottled water to enjoy on the relaxing journey back to Tromsø.
