Tromsø: Northern Lights and Husky Experience with Dinner

1. Tromsø: Northern Lights and Husky Experience with Dinner

Experience the spectacular natural phenomenon of the Northern Lights just 30 minutes from downtown Tromsø at a husky camp where you will be served hot drinks and can grill marshmallows over an open fire. Go inside an authentic lavvo (Sami tent) while you wait for the lights to appear in the night sky. Then, lay down on reindeer skins in the great outdoors, or sit on the provided chairs while you scout the sky for the dancing lights. Your guide will answer any questions you may have. As a work of Mother Nature, there can be no guarantee that the Northern lights will appear, but visiting 200 Alaskan huskies with their puppies is well worth it! Enjoy a warm meal in Norwegian style as your guide serves up a dish of bacalao made with tomato and Norwegian stockfish (cod).

What people are saying about Troms County

A perfect evening with our guide Steffan. Since the prospects were not very good at the beginning, we literally went hunting. Our guide Steffan was very well connected and first drove into a fjord, but since Lady Aurora was very shy, we then drove to the Finnish border. And then it started. We had a great seat and gigantic moments and shots. All questions about the Northern Lights or camera settings would be explained very well. We also got pictures from the evening a day later. Our tour was planned for about 5 hours in the end we were on the hunt for 8 hours and every minute was worth it. It is highly recommended

This experience might be the most memorable of my trip in Tromsø. The guide was really great, gave clear and simple explanations and was totally passionate in northern lights ! Embark on board and wait for the spot, then go out, wait and watch that life time experience !! I highly recommand that activity with that organization. They didn’t hesitate to wait longer at the spot and it paid: the real northern lights show was only beginning and we would have lost this opportunity if we had left earlier. Everything was great :)

One of the most magical experiences! Very much appreciate Stefan for making our dreams come true by finding the lights with help from forecasts and calling friends in the field. He was very informative and had great energy for an enjoyable experience. We had a two-hour show we could have never expected!

This tour was brilliant! We were able to switch the days since the weather conditions were so bad. Magne was an excellent guide, so knowledgeable and a lovely person. We found the lights within an hour! Magne took photos for us and also helped us take our own photos. P.s wear lots of layers of clothes!

It was lovely to be surrounded by so many friendly dogs. We stood by the fireplace(outside) eating marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate hopping for some activity on the sky, no Aurora that night but a lot of shooting stars ✨ Diner was interesting.
