Full description

Combine a dog sledding adventure followed by a guided visit to the magical Tromsø Ice Domes. Set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley, the Tromsø Ice Domes are built every year as the Polar Night approaches. For this tour you will be picked up from the city center of Tromsø, from which you will be taken to the wilderness center in Camp Tamok. Upon arrival at Tromsø Ice Domes, receive warm winter clothing and learn how to steer the dog sled.

Dog sledding with the Alaskan huskies is an active experience. The sled team consists of two and two people on one sled sharing a team of huskies. Teamwork is essential in dog sledding and together with the team, you will help to push on parts of the tour. After the dog sledding, visit the Ice Domes where the ice bar, cinema, and suites have themes ranging from local Sami culture to the Northern Lights conveyed through beautiful colored lighting and wonderful ice sculptures.

Join a guided tour and learn about the construction process of the ice hotel and the impact the snow has on the survival of Arctic animals. There will be time to walk around freely and ask questions to the experienced guide.

A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complimentary. You will be able to purchase other drinks, which will be served in the ice restaurant or ice bar. Visit the small herd of reindeer located at the Ice Domes for reindeer feeding, before heading back to Tromsø.

We had an amazing time with this travel company. It was very well organized. They provided transportation, warm clothes & foods. The dogs are loved. We were trained properly to handle the dogs. I would highly recommend you to do the combo excursions as the ice dome is 5 min walk from Camp Tamok.

This was an amazing experience, 10/10 highly recommend. They staff were very organized, and the whole day flowed smoothly. They ensured everyone was safe the entire sledding trip, and also that we were having fun. The dogs were super cute and very friendly. The stew we were fed was delicious, and we even got to try a black current drink. It was really yummy! The ice domes were pretty cool as well, but the dog sledding was definitely the star of the show. Their gear was really warm and water proof, we still wore our jackets and snow pants underneath and were very warm. It was an amazing experience.

It’s really nice to meet the husky. They are super cute and energy. But the ice dome is not worthy to see it. Due to the covid, the scale of the ice dome is just like one-forth as previous years. But it doesn’t mention on the website. I think it is not really honest.
