Trabzon: Uzungol Lake Day Tour with Lunch

2. Trabzon: Uzungol Lake Day Tour with Lunch

Your tour will begin with pickup from your hotel in Trabzon. From there you will travel to Uzungol, which takes approximately one hour. As you travel from Trabzon you will visit a tea factory, which will provide you with a look at the way fresh tea is grown and harvested. You will also be able to buy fresh tea to take with you.  Once you are done learning about the hectic life of tea makers, you will visit the Surmene knives and gift shop. There you will see the hard work of master craftsman of the Surmene region, as well as their handcrafted blades. These blades have been forged, folded, twisted, and hammered, until a unique blade is finished. After a lunch break you will be free to discover the Uzungol area by yourself. You may like to rent a pedal boat on the lake, or can instead opt to follow one of the hiking trails for a chance to see some of the impressive local wildlife. In the evening you will return to Trabzon, where you will be dropped off back to your hotel.

Start your journey by downloading the GeziBilen Digital Guide application and continue by following the map on the relevant route. On this route, you can listen to the history of all these works from us. What we will see on this route… Cal, the second-longest cave in the world, and Uzungol, which hosts the oldest trees in its surrounding temperate climate zone… Along our route, you will go to Hamsikoy, the homeland of hazelnut rice pudding, and Sumela Monastery, the symbol of the city! Trabzon Castle, which survived since the Romans, and the house where Kanuni Sultan Suleiman, probably the most famous sultan of the Ottoman Empire, was born and raised... And many more...We don't want you to leave you hungry while exploring so many places and we recommended the refreshment places full of delicious flavors. On this route, you will both climb a plateau and drink coffee by the lake… If you say “How many days will it take?”, we can say three days on average. Of course, you have the initiative! Welcome back to our “Whatever you seek is here" route! The rest is rhetoric! We'd better take on the road. If the cameras are charged, the raincoats are put into the bags - here is the Black Sea, it is unpredictable if it would rain - and the spare flash disks are emptied (just one flash disk is not enough), and the shoelaces are tied, let's start.

I was impressed by the whole trip which led me to book again with them. Even when I left Trabzon I kept dealing with them. Mainly the best guide ever BURAK. He is so cooperating and made me holiday. I recommend anybody to have this lovely experience!

the place was magnificent however we only got to spend an hour there due to traffic jam. the tea experience was very underwhelming they just took us to a tea factory where they gave us a cup of black and a cup of green tea

It was a pleasant trip. A good opportunity to explore the area. Uzungöl is a good place to eat and shop and the views are beautiful. On the way you can see from the car how people live.
