We were so glad we were able to experience this. Lucy and Diego were awesome guides. I agree with others that five hours allows you to really explore the glacier- we were able to enter ice caves, look over into a 60 meter moulin, and ascend to (almost!) the top. My partner and I do quite a bit of hiking and while it was not strenuous, I was a bit tired after five hours of trecking up and down the glacier.

Amazing experience! Our tour guide was very kind and helpful and the ice caves were a sight to see 100% recommend this to anyone who visits Iceland! Thank you guys

Amazing time with and excellent guide (Sam)! we did the 1400 tour and got to see the sunset on the glacier.
