We had an amazing tour with Martin from Troll Expeditions and can't recommend this experience enough when visiting southeast Iceland. The entire tour lasted around 4 hours and we did the 2pm slot which was perfect for us. Our group was only around 8 people which meant we had lots of time to take pictures and explore the ice cave when we arrived. Martin gave us all the time we needed and the tips and tricks to get the best photos which we really appreciated. He was the perfect guide, a great personality and very charismatic but always making sure everyone was safe and doing what they should be under the icy conditions. Walking between was glacier was surreal and like nothing we have ever experienced, the textures of the ice makes it look like you're entering a frozen beehive. You may spot the few Ravens flying around which was really cool to see up close. If you are passing by Skaftafell during your trip you have to stop here and do this tour, the value for money is outstanding!

What an experience! Definitely add this tour to your list when visiting Iceland. When we got to the initial meeting point, it was a little unorganized at first (e.g. hard to identify who our actual guide was) but after that we loved every minute. The group size was small, there were also 4-5 other groups on the glacier, but all groups were kept very well spaced throughout. Our guide Marcin was super friendly and shared great knowledge of the glacier and the sad reality of global warming on Iceland. The ice cave was a real highlight; at no point did we feel rushed, plenty of time to stop and take photos. Also great value for money for nearly a 4 hour experience.

Amazing! Adam was a brilliant guide, full of information, jokes and positive energy. The glacier of course was overwhelmingly beautiful and Adam took us to several stunning features. These change weekly so his passion was clear in the fact he knew which features to take us to!

Amazing! We had Martin as a guide, he was very friendly, attentive and explained everything very well and with great grace. A unique experience! Highly recommended, we were short, wanting more.

It was one of the most mesmerizing experience of my life: an intense contact with a pure and dominant nature. Our guide was excellent and extremely competent. I would recommend it to everyone!
