We made our visit on a Sunday during the Carnival, so everywhere was very crowded and it took longer to find the Opera house, but when we arrived it was well worth the visit, the auditorium was breathtaking with so much gold, and such ornate surroundings. It is a visit that I would do again.
Bring your own headphones, but it was a great audio tour. They give you smart phones and send you around the opera house learning all about the history, rooms, and art. Time and money well spent. My 16yr/old also enjoyed it. Bonus!
We really enjoyed the concert evening. But you shouldn't go to the concert with small children. Behind our row sat a family with a schoolchild who was talking the whole time until the break.
Although it’s been sweltering hot here in Venice as expected in August, and the church was no exception, the performance was outstanding and the musicians simply superb.
Extremely pleasant staff, enchanting environment and amazing music! A magical evening in the magical city! A must for those who love music and especially Vivaldi.
