Full description
Take an unforgettable walk around the historic heart of Verona, and discover the gems of the city of “Romeo and Juliet.” Meet your guide then wander among the UNESCO-inscribed monuments, such as the Arena, a pink marble Roman amphitheater built in 30 AD, considered one of the best preserved structures of its kind. Learn how it has survived more than 2,000 years, and thrives today as the main venue for the summer opera festival. Go to the tiny dead-alley that contains Juliet's Balcony and House (Casa di Giulietta). Francesco, the name of the guide, is a very knowledgeable person with an impressive knowledge of English. He was very good at letting us into the secrets of Verona and he did it with a lot of sympathy and competence. The only drawback of the tour not attributable to him but to the organization was that the tour is designed for people who speak English while, as I pointed out to Francesco himself, I chose the tour in Italian so there was an error from part of the organization.

Walk through the streets of Verona, really pleasant! Isabella, the guide was super helpful and while she told us the stories of the places, all the passion for her city shone through. Positive experience for a hit and run of just a couple of hours, but ideal for seeing the most significant places in Verona!

A very good tour with a small number of people. Renee was a delight who was full of the history of the area and happy to spend the time talking and pointing out lots of things that would be easily missed otherwise . Really glad I booked this for me and my 2 teenage daughters, who not been keen on walking, still thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended
