1. Melbourne: Balloon Flight at Sunrise

Be picked up from central Melbourne in the morning and drive to the launch field. Walk to where the equipment will be prepared and inflated. Passengers are welcome to participate in the various interesting and fun tasks needed to get in the air.  Board the hot air balloon and after a short safety briefing, soar up into the sky. Admire stunning views of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the Yarra River, parks, and botanical gardens from above.  Be amazed by how gentle ballooning is and take part in the adventure of floating in the wind. Enjoy the warm rays of the early morning sun along with fascinating views. Share this unforgettable and unique experience with family and friends.  See how sometimes the best light comes on cloudy days when the sun manages to penetrate and cast lovely light in different areas. With three airports, the bay to the South and a huge metropolitan area, Melbourne is a very technical location to fly over.  Watch as the pilot uses the winds at different heights to guide the flight to a safe landing spot. Balloons float in the wind so you will end up in a different location from where the flight started. Meet the ground crew at the landing spot. Return to your accommodation in central Melbourne after the ballooning gear is put away.

What people are saying about Victoria, Australia

I cannot recommend doing this more highly. In capable and very skilled hands we did not have a moment to think about anything else. From assisting to inflate the balloon to packing it away after landing, it was a great experience. The excitement upon starting to rise to the spectacular views of Melbourne and the experience of the crew. We never got a chance to be nervous. It was just too beautiful and serene. The excitement watching other balloons join in our flight was a bonus. I cannot praise the crew enough. At no time did my partner or l feel unsafe. They are in constant contact with Air Control and checking the weather, wind direction, etc. I would love to do it again sometime. Hearing the birds begin to sing over the Botanical Gardens and hearing dogs bark as we passed over was also part of the special experience. What a view and what better way to see it!! Thank you to the crew for making it possible.

The experience was wonderful from the moment we walked into reception. Friendly professional staff and Pilot. The flight was a lot calmer than we thought it would be, overall a wonderful experience would recommend to adults and kids. My boys are 9 year old twins and said it was soooo awesome Mum can we do it again :)

My partner and I went canoeing for our anniversary and we had a lot of fun! It’s a really great experience and Lake Fyans was beautiful. Jake was a terrific guide and had some wonderful recommendations on other sites to see.

That’s awesome even though we need to wake up at 04:30. The view up there in the air is amazing. We all having a great time. After the 3hours journey, the champagne breakfast is wonderful to fill up a hungry stomach.

Great experience, would definitely recommend. Would do again if visiting Phillip Island again.
