Vienna: Upper Belvedere & Permanent Collection Entry Ticket

1. Vienna: Upper Belvedere & Permanent Collection Entry Ticket

The Belvedere in Vienna is one of the leading museums worldwide. Its famous art collection includes works ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day. The unique complex, with its two palaces of the Upper and Lower Belvedere and extensive gardens, is one of the most stunning Baroque architectural marvels in the world. Highlights include the world's largest collection of Gustav Klimt paintings as well as prominent works from the periods of Viennese Biedermeier, Austrian Baroque, Vienna around 1900, and French Impressionism. Now, for the first time in decades, the museum will once again host large-scale special exhibitions that you can admire on your visit. In the 18th century, the Austrian general Prince Eugene of Savoy commissioned the renowned Baroque architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt to build the complex. After the death of Prince Eugene, Empress Maria Theresa acquired the entire complex and transformed the Upper Belvedere into an exhibition venue for the imperial collections – making it one of the first public museums in the world. The Lower Belvedere, formerly the residence of Prince Eugene, is home to illustrious exhibitions. The Baroque gardens of the Belvedere rank among the most beautiful in the world. The main garden is situated between the Lower and the Upper Belvedere and extends over three large terraces. The Belvedere park is also home to the Botanical Garden and the oldest Alpine garden in Europe. Exhibition Highlights: Ongoing: Picture this! During this time, the entrance area will not be affected in any way. This measure aims for completion by Q4 2024.

This was sensational. We tried 12 wines, actually in this case 13 as one of the hosts let us try something special as there was only 2 of us. They have a variety of places they can take you, we went to a vineyard, outstanding, then the other 2 were places that buy and sell wine. We tried more whites and 3 reds as Austria is known for their white wine. Food was delish, was well needed after all the alcohol. The guide was outstanding and Paulo was getting his training which meant we were double lucky and had an amazing day. Lasted 3 till 8 and time flew in, wish could go back and do it all again. They told us facts and stories and it was just lovely. Food was at the end of the 3rd wine place, was perfect ending.

Great way to explore the city. The different bus routes make the tour varied and you can get to know the city in several stages. The timing is also very good, so we never had to wait long for the next bus. Overall, highly recommended. And if there is a problem, online customer service is quick and extremely helpful!

Brilliant afternoon out, great wines, good company, good food. Our guide, Martin, was fab, despite having to step in last minute on his day off to avoid the tour being cancelled. We all greatly appreciated it, and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Great experience. Our driver Ivan was amazing, helpful, informative, flexible and made our trip nice and smooth. We spent more time in Hallstatt which was a heaven on earth. Highly recommended. Ask for Ivan.

Great idea (flexible entry and exit), bus driver cool and helpful, a suggestion for improvement: mark stops on the map (flyer) (e.g. once had to search for 15 minutes)
