Full description

Travel back in time and witness the events that made Vienna the cosmopolitan city it is today. Enjoy six scenes with breathtaking virtual reality technology that let you relive the past on a unique two-hour tour with an audioguide. Take part in a procession on White Sunday in 1483, one of the few occasions when the ornaments were brought out and shown to the public. Take cover as the Ottoman Empire carries out another siege during the second siege in 1683. Experience the darkness during the plague that killed half of Europe and learn about Augustin, a singer who showed that Vienna could survive such terrible times with humor and music. On a sunny day, walk around the Hofburg and see Empress Sisi and Emperor Franz Joseph II on a hunting trip. Luckily, you're standing very close to the road, so don't forget to wink. At the Opera you will experience Vienna in the golden 20s and see how people prepare for an opera performance. In the last scene at St. Stephens square see the cathedral burn in the last month of the terrible Second World War and witness the Soviet army driving the last German soldiers out.

I loved this walking tour… the guide was considerate because I was the only French one… he was careful that I understood everything… and that I remained “in the group” without feeling left out. And the historical virtual was really good and awesome. I strongly recommend this activity… you will not regret…

A very smiling guide who explains certain monuments of the city to you before immersing yourself in a reconstruction in VR. Being French, we were entitled to an explanation in French of what the guide was explaining. In addition, the guide was expecting the entire group to be there and for us French to have put on our headphones to begin an explanation (unlike some guides of other Vienna activities). I highly recommend this experience for both young people who love VR/video games and older people who will be impressed by VR.

My friends and I really enjoyed the time travel. We got a good insight into what it used to look like in some places. The videos are simply much more impressive than just a narrative. We did this type of city tour for the first time and can definitely recommend it.
