Stockholm: Viking Museum Exhibition and Viking Ride

2. Stockholm: Viking Museum Exhibition and Viking Ride

Jump back to the 10th century and experience the fabled Viking era as if you were really there. Through hourly tours, conducted in either English or Swedish, get a real impression of what life was like for the Vikings — from bloody battles and vicious plundering, to idyllic farm life and a complex system of religious belief.  You’ll even come face to face with a model of life-sized Viking, created using DNA recovered from centuries-old remains, along with countless other artifacts and impressive reconstructions. You can also take advantage of the free audio guide at the Viking Museum. Hop on the thrilling ride, Ragfrid’s Saga, to get a real taste of a Viking’s daily life, told from the perspective of a Viking warrior’s wife. To cap it all off, grab a bite at Glöd, the museum’s modern Nordic restaurant, with sweeping views of the Stockholm harbor.

We had the all inclusive 45+ pass for 3 days and since we were in Stockholm in early October we were able to take full advantage of it. Even if some seasonal attractions were no longer bookable, we were able to save a lot compared to regular admissions. On the other hand, we never had longer waiting times or crowded activities. In combination with the weekly ticket from SL (local public transport) brilliant and highly recommended.

We had a lot of fun in and with the exhibition and the "living" Vikings, who could be found everywhere and approached at any time. Overall informative, entertaining and recommendable!

Visually and in terms of sensory world, an absolutely successful entity. A lot of interesting details, which you can pass the time without noticing.

Really enjoyed this museum, the ride at the end tells a really interesting story and it was a great day out

very interesting and the audioguide on the mobile phone works very well.
