Make your way to meet your host at the shop in Ahuriri, Napier to pick up the shuttle. The shuttle will take you and your bikes to the start of your cycling adventure at Black Barn winery. Te Mata Estate and Askerne Wineries are very close by, so you can start your wine tasting right from drop off. With your first winery visits under your belt, an option is to take a detour for a further 3 kilometers to reach Craggy vineyard and see for yourself why the winery was voted Best Winery in Australia. From here, get back on track and enjoy a 16-kilometer bike ride on the limestone cycle trail following the Tuki Tuki River, to the coastal communities of Haumoana and Te Awanga. Admire stunning views of the iconic Cape Kidnappers as you cycle the raised stop-bank trail and look out over orchards, vineyards and farmlands. Reaching the coast, be ready to taste some more fine wine at Elephant Hill, Clearview Estate, and Te Awanga Estate. If a local lunch is on your wish-list, your host will also be happy to assist with reservations at Clearview Estate. Te Awanga also offer the best pizzas in Hawke’s Bay and you can sit outside on their green lawn. At the end of the day, you will be collected and transferred back to Ahuriri, Napier.

2. Napier: Art Deco Bike Ride and Wineries Loop

Adapt this diverse, flexible tour to suit how far you want to ride and what you want to see. Grab your family or friends and explore lots of local highlights, including wineries, estuary trails, Art Deco buildings, and coastal pathways. Departing the port village of Ahuriri, cycle around the port to Napier city, a world-renowned Art Deco treasure. Get off your bike and spend some time enjoying the Art Deco buildings before following the coastal pathway with spectacular views across the Pacific to Cape Kidnappers. Turn inland and follow the Tutaekuri River trail, overlooking orchards to the suburb of Taradale. Visit two of the region’s finest wineries, Church Road and the Mission Estate. Then continue onto the Ahuriri Estuary trail with its many native birds. Do all the route or just a part. Cycle 28 kilometers or 45 kilometers over a full day.

3. Waikato: Half-Day Karāpiro River Trail Bike Tour

Start your day by arriving at the headquarters of the local partner where you will meet your friendly guide. From here, you will travel to the start of the ride in a shuttle van. Once you have arrived you will receive a quick instruction on what you will need to know along the way. You can relax in the hands of professional guides who have plenty of experience and know the trails well.  You will bike between 12-14km along a beautiful gravel trail, that passes through native bush and spectacular farmland. All the while travelling along New Zealand's longest River - The Waikato River. Get to discover flora and fauna only seen in New Zealand and the native birdlife that is all around you. Approximately half way through this extremely popular section of trail, you will take a route through a unique wetland over a 500-meter long continuous boardwalk. You will also travel over an awe inspiring swingbridge built in the 1920's.
