We used this fully to take photos of the beautiful surroundings and the carvings. Drinks were available making for a pleasant trip. Wonderful value.

What people are saying about Waikato

I was completely blown away at the and the picturesque farmland surrounding the film set, which had such a wonderful ambience, the sheep had given birth to lots of twin, and a few triplet lambs. Absolutely delightful to see how healthy and white they were. The little cottages were so tastefully painted in bright cheerful colours, and there were beautiful flowers and plenty of vegetables growing at many homes. Sir Peter Jackson has done NZ proud. The free drink and welcoming fire burning in the “Green Dragon Pub” was so attractive. There was an 11 year old Pub cat called Pickles, that was sleeping innocently in front of the fireplace. A MUST SEE Tourist attraction

Kevin was an excellent guide. Very friendly and informative. Attention to detail with building the set was amazing. Hobbiton is well worth a visit even if you haven’t seen the movies.

Very enjoyable and terrific guide. It was definitely worth while and I am planning to bring the rest of the family to see.

Great tour and great company to book through. Very accommodating due a number of changes we made leading up to the tour.
