    4. Meet the magical creatures

Over 200 magical creatures were created for the films. You'll get the chance to meet house elves and the Gringotts goblins, and to say hi to Hagrid's friends, Buckbeak and Aragog.

What would a wizard be without his robes, wands, and cauldrons? These and countless other magical items from across the series are on display.

Planning Your Visit

  • Make sure to get the Activity Passport

Activity Passports are available for free from the info desk by the entrance. If you're there with kids, definitely grab one as it includes fun activities such as a Golden Snitch hunt and six passport stamps to collect throughout the studio – a great souvenir to take home!

  • Ride the legendary double decker bus

If you're coming by public transport, take the train to Watford Junction and from there, ride the Harry Potter double decker bus to the studios. It's a more convenient way to get there than by regular transport, as it's cheap, the buses come roughly every 10 minutes, and they drop you directly at the entrance to the studios.

Myself and my son did not use the bus to get to the Harry Potter Studios as we were staying in a hotel close to the Studio but the driver met me at the Studio with my tickets and did not leave me hanging around with them. Will definitely use them again when we travel to the Studio and this time we will use the bus service provided.

Brilliant at Harry Potter World but the bus wasn’t so good, really cold an not good entertainment on the bus, there was a screen where you could watch a HP video so the time went quicker but it didn’t work on the way back.

I visited Harry Potter Studios mostly for my little girl, who was turning 10. I had neither read the books nor seen the films, but the very interesting visit made me want to immerse myself in it ...

worth the time to see. large crowds managed well. extra charge for the audio self tour. not really worth renting the unit.

Very well organized, good support and very friendly. Anytime again, highly recommended.
