London: Private Day Tour to Warwick Castle

3. London: Private Day Tour to Warwick Castle

Discover one of England’s most impressive Norman castles on a full-day private tour of Warwick. Looming over the picturesque county town in the Heart of England, Warwick Castle is still occupied today, but there are plenty of areas accessible for public adventures. Your driver will pick you up from Watford Junction Train Station in North London (or in central London subject to a surcharge), then drive towards the Castle, situated on a bend of the River Avon. Upon arrival, marvel at how well preserved the castle is. Originally built of motte-and-bailey, the stone castle that replaced the original was constructed from stone. Admire this fine example of 14th-century military architecture as you climb the towers, explore the battlements, and see the dungeons. Learn about the important role it played in English history, seek out the resident birds of prey, and catch a medieval re-enactment if you’re lucky. A complimentary packed lunch and drinks are included, and all tours are leisurely paced for your comfort.

What people are saying about Warwick

The day trip was really great,

The trip was, as I already said, great. Our guide Dolly gave us a lot of background Information, I liked especially Stratford, Shakespear's birth house, you really got an idea how things were at that time, also the idea to have young actors playing some Scenes and reciting Shakespears sonetts was very appealing. All in all it was a wonderful, very interesting day out of London in a beautiful English landscape. Thanks again to Dolly! Just one more remark, I booked the trip via internet from Vienna Austria and I was only able to book the basic arrangements, no tickets included. We were a small group, so it did not bother too much to buy the tickets on location

Very good guide

Comprehensive tour, must visit places! Fantastic castle, fairytale landscapes and a very well prepared guide. Also very easy to find the meeting point leaves from victoria coach station. Too bad that the packed lunch is really ridiculous, a bottle of water a biscuit and a sandwich with only the salad inside ... you can only laugh about it :) bring something from home I suggest;)

the guide is teaching in Oxford

I'd never been experiencing a super guide like this lady, she is professional, teaching in Oxford who brought us to the private area, she told us something about British that we would interest to know, and surprisingly she guided us personally in Warwick Castle and Oxford. Highly recommended this tour.

Very well organised tour. Good value . Would definitely travel with them again.

A great tour !

Our guide was really interesting. I really recommend this tour.
