    Come from my hotel a little hard to find ,but I found where I was post to be . It all worked out. The water taxi was fun & weather was great to be on the river. From the dock to Washington home was easy to find & walking around the grounds was fun too .

    Prior to the day of the event it was a bit confusing whether a tour of the mansion was included, or if you would only have access to the grounds of the estate. So it was a pleasant surprise when we were able to tour Washington's home after all. Leon was very helpful the day before in answering our questions regarding nearby parking garages and quickly checked us in on the day of the tour. There is much to see and experience at Mount Vernon, so plan ahead of time what you most want to see. So that you have time to walk the grounds, enjoy the demonstrations and soak in the scenic views.

    It should be more clear that the trip DOES NOT INCLUDE entrance to the mansion. We were confused and several others on our boat were as well. Also guide commentary did not start until we left Alexandria. We were curious about a lot of the buildings that we saw before we got there.
