This full day trip was excellent. We visited the Salt Mines first which were amazing, definitely a “must see”. There are a lot of steps and a fair amount of walking so you need to be reasonably fit. We then had a break of about an hour, we took our own food so had time to look around the town were the Salt Mine is. Next we headed off to Auschwitz, this was very moving and we learned quite a lot that we hadn’t known before. The tour was well paced for such a long day. The guides were very good particularly Berta our guide at Auschwitz she was extremely knowledgable and professional. If taking this day tour I would recommend going on one that takes you to the Salt Mines first.
A team of responsible and professional of staff. We are really glad to have booked our tour with the company. Due to some miscommunication, we did not received the message about the change of meeting time and missed the tour bus. We called and were attended by the staff shortly. Headed to the office and the staff hired and paid for a cab to take us to the location to join to the group. Our trip will not be this pleasure without their professionalism and excellent customer service! Highly recommend!!
We were picked up at the designated place and whisked away on the 25 minute journey in a lovely clean car. The mines themselves are like nothing I've ever encountered or even imagined! The tour guide was full of insights about the rooms as well as life down in the mines. There is ALOT of stairs (all going down) and you cover alot of distance so comfortable shoes are a must! At the end our driver met us and took us back to where we were picked up.
Excellent tour of Auschwitz. Salf mine was good too. The tour guides at both places were very good. We would have preferred that the driver that took us to the tour wear a mask as we passengers did in the van. It would have been nice if the driver talked to us about what we were seeing on the drive to the events or about Poland.
Very interesting trip. Although it is a long day both these activities are worth doing and if you’re in Krakow for only a short amount of time it’s worth combining them. The time on the transport (nice mini bus) is a good rest. Can save money by going on public transport but the ease of this trip made it worth paying the extra.
