About the activity provider
** 2023 RAFTING SEASON: MAY 20th TO SEPTEMBER 10th** Founded in 1992, Wild Water Adventures is the premier rafting outfit on the Kicking Horse River, located in the Canadian Rockies near Banff and Lake Louise. We take great pride providing first-class, top notch whitewater rafting experiences for each and every guest. No detail is too small, nor any logistic too challenging. Whether it be complimentary top of the line gear, welcoming and extensive RiverBase amenities or unlimited interaction potential with our entire crew, Wild Water has it all. Our rafting roster, offered mid-May through mid-September, boasts ‘mild to wild’ whitewater departures. Every level of desired adventure is satisfied with either our half-day or full-length trips. Families with younger children, mature travellers, gung-ho adrenaline seekers and groups large and small are welcome every day of the season. Safety is the number one priority at Wild Water Adventures. Our crew is made up of highly experienced, international rafting professionals who entertain, educate and expertly maneuver rafts downstream in the safest manner possible. All guides hold further industry safety certifications such as Swift Water Rescue and Wilderness First Aid. ** Minimum age and weight criteria must be met for all trips. ** All trips depart from our RiverBase, conveniently located on TransCanada Highway #1, at 2750 Beaverfoot Road, Golden BC. The RiverBase is 45 minutes west of Lake Louise and 20 minutes east of Golden, BC. Set amongst the mountains and overlooking the river, amenities include heated indoor change rooms, an expansive covered deck, picnic area, spacious guest parking and the River’s Edge gift shop. Provided for all guests are top-of-the-line wetsuits, neoprene booties and gloves, spray jackets, life jackets and helmets. Guests need only bring a bathing suit, towel and synthetic polar fleece sweater for extra warmth on the river. Our trusty fleet of school buses transport rafters from the RiverBase to the river, and back again after the trip. An assortment of hot and cold beverages are provided after half-day trips. A delicious gourmet BBQ lunch is included with full-length trips. Morning half-day trips have the option of upgrading to enjoy the gourmet BBQ lunch as well. We invite all to experience our ‘Wild Water’ world, and to join us soon on the river!
