Wroclaw: Alternative Tour with Street Art

3. Wroclaw: Alternative Tour with Street Art

In Wroclaw, it is worth discovering not only the Market Square, the Cathedral Island and the Centennial Hall. The city definitely offers more. On this tour you can visit the one and only Nadodrze District full of places where many directors, including Steven Spielberg, made war movies and street artists from all over the world created their works. The city council has been trying to change this neighborhood for the last years. The process of gentrification is in progress and the moment of the transformation of this district is very visible now. The new together with the old, hip pubs versus shops with cheap alcohol and one-armed bandits, young, well-educated people versus modest living retirees. This diverse mixture and these contrasts are the mark of Nadodrze. Today, Nadodrze is also well-known for small galleries run by young, local artists, crafts companies and projects of the social economy. The walk in this neighborhood will make you hungry, but don’t worry! Nadodrze also offers one of the best bakeries and ice cream parlors in the city. The tour is especially recommended for people who would like to discover Wroclaw in a different, simply alternative way.

We had a great Sunday morning with Marcin. The dwarf hunt is a lot of fun. We had formed 2 groups that were in competition. We are all over 50 years old, but that hasn't stopped us from developing our ambition to find dwarfs. If you don't just want to admire the history and architecture in Wroclaw, you can also go hunting for dwarfs. Anyway, we liked it a lot. Thanks Marcin !!!
