Full description
After being picked up from your accommodation, set off to begin your 3-hour eco-friendly turtle spotting cruise. Climb aboard a special glass-bottomed boat and embark on your journey through the National Marine Park surrounding the island.  Make a photo stop at the famous Cameo Islet, which was created by the 1633 earthquake. Take unique photos (guaranteed sightings) of the turtles from up close, and take the opportunity to swim amongst them in their natural habitat.  After this, explore the enchanting Keri Caves, and pass underneath the “Kamares”, before enjoying another swimming opportunity in the clear waters. Finally, arrive at the turtle-shaped island of Marathonisi. Swim and have fun at the Golden Nesting Beach which is home to the loggerhead sea turtle Caretta Caretta. You will also have the chance to admire the stunning caves.

We had Stella as our guide, who was informative and fun! The trip itself became very wet, because of the wind, so make sure to put phones and camera's in a sealed plastic bag. The beach she took us to, turned out to be one of the finest of the island. We haven't seen turtles on that beach, but did see them when we were back in the harbor.

We got off to a rough start as there was a miscommunication with the van driver who was supposed to pick us up. Once that was settled, our tour could not have been more enjoyable. The captain of our boat, Stella, was very experienced and knowledgeable on all the sights of the tour. We dived off the boat near picturesque sea caves and went swimming in beautiful cove of a lovely islet. Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining. Special thanks to Kostas who lent a helping hand when our boat’s anchor lodged on some rocks. Highly recommended.

The tour was very nice, the organization was great, we were picked up and brought back on time. It was great to be in a small group so you could keep your distance. If you only do the tour because of the turtles, you would be disappointed, although we saw one, 2 boats shared the sighting, the turtle seemed a bit harassed to me. Otherwise everything was great ... nice boat guide ensured a good atmosphere!
