Zanzibar: Jozani Forest, Local Zoo and Swimming with Turtles

1. Zanzibar: Jozani Forest, Local Zoo and Swimming with Turtles

Visit the famous Jozani Forest National Park, Zanzibar's only National Park, to see local wildlife and natural habitats, including African rock pythons, red colobus monkeys, and crocodiles on a guided day tour. Explore Zanzibar's luscious groundwater forest at the national park and see rare animal species only found on the island, such as the cheeky red colobus monkey. Walk through the park's mangroves as you make your way to your lunch spot, a restaurant nestled in the middle of the jungle. Listen to the sounds of the jungle surrounding you as you tuck into a delicious local meal. Enjoy a cooling dip in the pool after lunch before heading to the north of the island for a visit to the local zoo to see a number of other local animals, including chameleons, bushbabies, tortoises, ostriches, elephant shrews, and more. End your day out with a relaxing swim with turtles, which you have the chance to feed.

Zanzibar: Parasailing Experience with Instructor

2. Zanzibar: Parasailing Experience with Instructor

Get the best panoramic views of Zanzibar and its coastline with an unforgettable parasailing adventure. Appreciate the views from 300 meters above including the sandy, white beaches of Nungwi and Kendwa, coral reefs, tropical trees, and local resorts and fishing villages. You can feel secure in the knowledge that your flight instructor will make sure you have a fantastic time in a safe way, with the activity being suitable for people aged 8 upwards. After some training in flying and safety instructions, your instructor will take you out in the parasailing boat. You will be secured into a safety harness when it is your turn and your instructor will slowly release you. At the end of the flight, the hydraulic winch system will gently reel you back in until you land softly on the boat’s platform. Feel the thrill of the flight as you float in the air behind the boat for approximately 10 - 12 minutes. When you are finished, take in the beautiful coastal scenery as you sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of the boat ride.

What people are saying about Zanzibar

If you like nature and animals, this is the place for you! You visit a "rain forest" in the south of the island - here you can see smaller, exotic animals and, with a bit of luck, groups of smaller lemur monkeys. The zoo is also great (although not comparable to European ones!!), but you don't go through it alone, but with a guide. You have the chance to feed the animals and take pictures with monkeys on your shoulders. The last stop takes you to a salt lake with sea turtles - you can also photograph, feed and swim with the animals here! Very cool! Small minus: you don't always drive from A to B for some time in between.

Great day with our driver and guide Karim. We had a great time at Zanzibar National Park and even more at the zoo with a great guide! The restaurant, included in the price, was very good and facing the ocean. Highly recommend this activity, we moved all over the island all day. Special mention for Karim who was perfect!

An absolutely crazy experience!!! The guys are kind and nice, they explain everything perfectly and help make this already cool experience even more indelible.

It was an amazing experience, we could not have been happier. I recommend it wholeheartedly. And Ahmad was the best guide/driver one can possibly imagine.

It was a fantastic experience! Thank you very much! Additional thanks for our guide! :)
